About
My name is Janine
I'm a BodyTalk Practitioner (soon to be certified) with a background in Hypnotherapy. I also have experience in Reiki, although I do not include it in my practices. My approach is calm, caring, and focused on helping you feel safe and supported as you explore your healing journey.
My path into BodyTalk began through my own personal healing, both emotional and physical, and it inspired me to assist other's in their healing journeys - in a gentle, holistic way.
I have a deep interest in natural healing, energy work, and consciousness-based approaches. I truly believe that our thoughts and emotions have a powerful effect on our health and well-being. When we don’t understand our feelings or ignore them, they can show up as stress, illness, or emotional discomfort in the body.
In my sessions, I may also use calming techniques from my hypnotherapy background to support relaxation and healing. Every person is different, every person's healing journey is different, and I'm here to hold that safe space for each client – whether you're a child, an adult, or an elder.

"The body's innate wisdom is responsible for all parts of the body-mind working in synchronicity. What disrupts this synchronicity and communication are disturbances generated by the mind which come from learned belief systems, thoughts, attitudes, biases and so on, that we pick up from our society, cultures and families. These belief systems and thoughts are interpreted as the stresses that come from living life"

In my BodyTalk sessions, I may sometimes include calming techniques drawn from my background in hypnotherapy. These techniques are used with care and purpose — to help guide the body and mind into a state where true healing can take place.
My interest in this mind-body connection started during a time in my life when I was working in corporate and legal environments. Every day, while driving to work and sitting in traffic, I would feel tension building in my body. I struggled to breathe, struggle with digestion and often felt unwell — all while trying to keep up with daily responsibilities, difficult news headlines, and the ongoing stressors of modern life. It puzzled me: why was my body reacting this way, even when nothing around me seemed actively dangerous?
This led me on a journey to understand how the mind works, why the body responds with stress in certain environments or situations, and how I could support both mind and body to cope in a healthier way. What I discovered was more than I expected. Through hypnotherapy and other calming techniques, I was able to heal deeply held emotional patterns and restore my nervous system gently and naturally. I became more aware of what was truly affecting me; what environments, thoughts, belief systems or habits were not in alignment with my well-being. It opened up a whole new way of seeing life, and that awareness continues to guide my healing work with others.
In our modern world, stress has become an almost constant presence. Many people carry high levels of stress without even realising it. This ongoing stress keeps the body in a state of “fight or flight” — a survival mode where stress hormones like cortisol flood the system, the nervous system becomes overstimulated, and the brain prioritises short-term reactions over long-term healing. When we are in this state, the body’s natural ability to repair and restore itself becomes limited.
The calming techniques I use help soothe the nervous system and support a shift from the fight-or-flight response (sympathetic nervous system) to a state of rest and repair (parasympathetic nervous system). In this relaxed space, the brain and body can begin to harmonise. I will also teach my clients the BodyTalk Cortices technique. It is a simple yet powerful technique used in BodyTalk to help balance and calm the brain. It focuses on improving communication between the different parts of the brain and supporting the brain’s ability to respond more calmly and clearly to stress.
These techniques also help clients become more present and aware — gently guiding them into deeper connection with their bodies, emotions, and subconscious mind. The subconscious plays a powerful role in how we experience health: it influences our belief systems, our automatic reactions, and even how our body responds to stress.
By calming the mind and body, we create space for a more open, balanced healing session — one that unfolds gently and naturally, in alignment with what your body truly needs.
